The Story Behind Alexa Send Love

As a child, I loved checking the mail, eagerly awaiting cards from my grandparents and great-grandmother for every holiday, birthday, and special occasion. I can still hear my mom’s voice: “Alexa, don’t forget to send thank-you cards!” That’s when I first understood the true value of expressing gratitude—not as an obligation, but as a way to return the joy and kindness I had received.

This early lesson sparked my passion for creating personalized cards and gifts. I started making bookmarks and handmade cards for my family using printer paper and Crayola markers. My mom still treasures one of the first laminated bookmarks I made for her.

As I grew older, I gathered more supplies and honed new skills, experimenting with painting and various crafts. I loved adding personal touches to cards and gifts for friends and family—it brought me so much joy to create something meaningful for the people I cared about most.

In 2020, during the lockdown, I discovered wax seal making. It quickly became a therapeutic outlet and a beautiful addition to my holiday cards. Then, in December 2023, my husband gifted me a Cricut machine, opening up even more creative possibilities. I began designing custom bookmarks, and when my friend Paige asked for some for her gym’s book club, it inspired me to start accepting custom orders.

With encouragement from my husband, friends, and family, I took the leap and launched Alexa Send Love—and I’m so grateful I did. This first year has exceeded my expectations. For me, this business is about more than just crafting; it’s about bringing joy to others by turning their visions into something tangible and heartfelt.

After a year of trial and error—testing new products, learning, and improving—I’ve found myself leaning even deeper into my passion for wax seals and handmade stationery, especially greeting cards. I’m excited about the direction Alexa Send Love is heading and can’t wait to see what’s next.

My mission is to help revive the art of stationery. In this digital age, I want to help people experience the simple joy of receiving a handwritten card or a thoughtful gift in the mail. It’s a small but powerful way to show someone you care, and I’m honored to be part of that connection.

Thank you for being part of the Alexa Send Love journey.
